⚖️ KARAYANA SERVICES – AGGREGATOR LEGAL POLICY

This document defines the rights, responsibilities, and obligations of Karayana Services Pvt. Ltd. as an aggregator platform, along with those of RideHosts (Vehicle Owners) and DriveGuests (Customers) participating in self-drive car hire services.
🛡️ DriveGuest Policy & Declaration
⚖️ Driving Responsibility:
DriveGuests must operate vehicles responsibly and adhere to all traffic and safety regulations during the rental period.
🎯 Minimum Age Requirement:
The minimum age to rent and drive a vehicle through Karayana is 21 years, and the driver must hold a valid driver’s license issued by a competent authority in India.
📜 Documentation:
DriveGuests must submit a valid Driving Licence and Aadhaar Card before vehicle pickup via Karayana’s official KYC Form.
🚫 No Commercial Use:
The rented vehicle shall not be used for commercial purposes such as passenger transport or delivery services.
🍺 No Drink and Drive:
Strictly prohibited. Any violation may lead to termination of booking and forfeiture of the deposit.
📵 No Direct Dealing or Rate Disclosure:
Direct communication or negotiation with RideHosts outside Karayana’s platform is strictly prohibited. All transactions must occur through official Karayana channels only.
🔧 No Modification or Repair Without Approval:
DriveGuests cannot perform or authorize any modification or repair without prior written consent from Karayana and the respective RideHost.
⚙️ KARAYANA Role & Responsibility (Aggregator):
Karayana acts solely as a digital aggregator and lead generator, connecting verified DriveGuests with registered RideHosts. It does not own, control, or maintain any listed vehicle.
🤝 RideHost Responsibility:
RideHosts must verify documentation, maintain the vehicle’s condition, and ensure full compliance with legal and platform norms.
🧭 DriveGuest Responsibility:
DriveGuests must inspect the vehicle before handover, operate it carefully, and comply with all terms of use.
💰 Refundable Deposit:
A refundable security deposit of ₹5,000–₹10,000 is required before the trip and refunded after vehicle return and inspection.
📏 Kilometer Limit:
Standard limit is 250 km per day. Bookings of 4 days or more include unlimited kilometers, subject to the package terms.
📜 Declaration:
By booking through Karayana, DriveGuests accept all responsibilities for vehicle safety, compliance, and adherence to aggregator policies.
🚗 RideHost Policy & Declaration
⚖️ Vehicle Ownership & Legality:
RideHosts must be the legitimate owners or authorized lessors of their vehicles, ensuring valid registration, insurance, and permits.
🧾 Documentation & Listing:
All vehicle documents (RC, insurance, PUC, and owner ID) must be verified and uploaded prior to listing on the platform.
🚙 Vehicle Condition:
RideHosts are responsible for ensuring vehicles are safe, clean, and fully operational before each handover.
💰 Rate Disclosure & Transparency:
All rates must be managed through Karayana only. Direct negotiation or side dealing is prohibited.
📵 No Direct Dealing Policy:
Any direct dealing or rate disclosure outside Karayana’s system will attract penalties up to ₹25,000 and may result in delisting.
🔧 Repair & Maintenance:
All maintenance and repair decisions during active rentals require prior approval from Karayana.
⚙️ Aggregator Role (Karayana):
Karayana serves solely as an intermediary and is not responsible for vehicle conditions, maintenance, or disputes between RideHost and DriveGuest.
📋 Handover & Verification:
RideHosts must follow the complete handover and return process, including uploading car video, odometer, and FASTag photos via official forms.
🔐 Deposits & Settlements:
Refundable deposits are held by Karayana and released post successful inspection and damage clearance.
🧾 Liability Disclaimer:
RideHosts accept full liability for legal, financial, and operational matters relating to their vehicles.
📜 Declaration:
By listing vehicles on Karayana, RideHosts agree to abide by these terms and acknowledge Karayana’s limited aggregator role.
